Located in North Gower, our beautiful farm sprawls over 40 acres of lush meadows and tree-lined trails, and is home to some of the finest horses in the area. SFR Equestrian is close to Barrhaven and Riverside South, minutes from Manotick and Stonebridge, and only twenty minutes from south Ottawa.

Meet our Head Coach - Maeve Rowe
Maeve is a highly accomplished equestrian professional with a rich history in coaching and riding that spans over two decades. Her passion for horseback riding began early, and she has dedicated herself to mastering the sport. With an extensive riding resume, Maeve has honed her skills and expertise, becoming a prominent figure in the equestrian community.
Before joining SFR Equestrian as head coach, Maeve showcased her coaching prowess at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa. During her tenure she made a profound impact, earning recognition and respect within the Ottawa Valley Primary Show Circuit. In 2018, her outstanding sportsmanship and dedication were celebrated as she was awarded the prestigious Anderson-McGregor-Vance Memorial Sportsmanship Award, a testament to her commitment and contribution to the equestrian world.
In recent years, Maeve has expanded her horizons by working for internationally renowned equestrians such as Kent Farrington and John French. Her time in Wellington allowed her to refine her coaching techniques and gain valuable insights into the competitive equestrian landscape.
Maeve is eager and enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead the SFR Equestrian Team. Her vision includes structuring innovative courses, fostering a supportive learning environment, and guiding the team to achieve their competitive aspirations. Maeve's wealth of experience, coupled with her passion for teaching and riding, positions her as an invaluable asset to the SFR Equestrian community, inspiring both seasoned riders and newcomers alike.
