TRAIL RIDES - 2026

At SFR Equestrian, our guided trail rides offer a relaxed, scenic experience through our North Gower property. Whether you’re looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, or try something new, our rides are designed to be safe, enjoyable, and memorable.

 

BOOKING & AVAILABILITY:

• Trail rides are not drop-in and require advance scheduling.

• We are currently booking 1–2 weeks in advance.

​This allows us to:

• Match riders with the right horses

• Organize guides and groupings

• Ensure a safe, well-paced experience for everyone

​Requests made the night before or within a few days are unlikely to be accommodated. If you’re planning a visit, we recommend reaching out early to secure your preferred date.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Our trail rides are guided, small-group experiences designed with safety and comfort in mind.

• Price: $110 per person

• Duration: Trail rides typically last 1 hour

• Pace: Relaxed and controlled (no galloping or high-speed riding)

• Terrain: Natural trails across our property

• Guide: Experienced staff lead every ride

This is about the experience, not the intensity.

RIDER REQUIREMENTS:

To ensure a safe ride for both guests and horses:

• Riders should be comfortable around horses

• Basic riding experience is recommended (or willingness to learn quickly)

• Participants must follow all guide instructions

GROUP SIZES & PRIVATE RIDES:

• Small group format for safety and quality

• Maximum group sizes may vary based on rider experience

• Private group bookings may be available upon request

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR:

Keep it simple and practical:

• Long pants (jeans or leggings recommended)

• Closed-toe shoes or boots with a small heel

• Weather-appropriate layers

Helmets are provided and required.

Q: Can I just show up?
A: No. All trail rides must be booked in advance.

A: We typically do not book that far out, as scheduling depends on horse availability and programming.
